Recent research has demonstrated that an herb, St. John's Wort, can be used as an alternative in alleviating minor to moderate depression. The plant, which has been documented in traditional herbal references for over four hundred years, has been shown to be as effective as several pharmaceutical anti-depressants in the minor to mild cases of depression.
Though probably not suitable in cases of severe depression, the use of 300 milligrams of St. John's Wort, standardized to 0.3% hypericins, three times daily, was shown to be both effective and virtually free of side effects when compared to all standard anti-depressant drugs.
Application: Used as an alternative in alleviating minor to moderate depression.
Directions for use: Take up to three caplets daily with meals or as directed by a health professional.
Excipients: Microcrystalline cellulose, calcium phosphate, croscarmellose sodium, silicon dioxide, vegetable stearin, magnesium sterate (vegetable source).
